I am getting excited! In one week, I will be attending the Spring Seminar presented by the San Mateo Genealogical Society. The speaker for this all day seminar is D. Joshua Taylor. I cannot help but genealogy geeking out a bit. I know that I am going to learn so much in just a few short hours!
I have another reason to be excited for next Saturday. Last week, while visiting my parents in Northern Virginia, I got the chance to spend the day at the Daughters of the American Revolution Library. When I arrived, there were a couple of women already in the library. You have to sign the guest book as part of the check in process. I could not help but noticing that the women noted they were from Redwood City, California. This is just south of San Francisco and I live just north. Of course I walked right over to introduce myself. I look forward to seeing my new genealogy friends at the seminar because they are members of the San Mateo Genealogical Society! What a small world!
